Jim's Carpet began in 1994 when Jim Oltman turned his 18 years of flooring installation experience into a family-owned business built on craftsmanship and care. Soon after, his daughter, Brandy Scheer, joined the team while attending college, eventually earning her Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Peru State College.
Brandy fondly remembers helping her dad with installations as a little girl, including a memorable job at the old Chat-n-Nibble ice cream shop (now Earhart Chiropractic), where she enjoyed her first waffle cone. While Brandy’s highlight was the ice cream, Jim recalls the tornado sirens sounding during the installation.
Together, they've grown Jim's Carpet into the go-to flooring destination for Beatrice and the surrounding area. Jim still plays an active role, from taking measurements to lending a hand in sales when Brandy takes a well-earned vacation. This family-first approach is the foundation of our business, ensuring every customer feels like part of our extended family.
